Comedian. Podcaster. Gamer. Idiot.
Comedian. Podcaster. Gamer. Idiot.
Since first stepping foot on the stage in September 2008, Tony Jameson has gone on to become one of the UKs hottest comedic talents. He gave up his day job as a college lecturer (OK, he got made redundant) in 2012, and since then he has gone from strength to strength. His laid back, chatty, observational style has seen him become a favourite at many venues.
Tony is regularly seen performing as an act or MC for promoters such as The Stand, Off The Kerb, Avalon, Manfords, Just The Tonic, Toby Jones, Last Laugh, Jongleurs, Hilarity Bites, as well as many independent promoters.
For 18 months, Tony toured the UK with his sell out show, Football Manager Ruined My Life. This was his debut tour, which included a week long residency at both Leicester Square Theatre and Museum of Comedy in London. If you missed the tour, don't worry, we recorded it at a sold out Newcastle Stand infront of 300 people so you can buy the DVD or download the show via Steam. Just head on over to the shop page of the website to purchase.
In terms of additional media work away from the circuit, Tony is one third of the Yet Another Comedy Podcast team with Danny Deegan and Rob Mulholland. He's also one of the Animates with Jim Smallman and Katie Mulgrew. Tonys passion for football had allowed him to write for The Secret Footballer and appear on TalkSport and BBC Radio 5Live. He's also graced the silver screen where he was featured rather heavily in the feature documentary, Football Manager: An Alternative Reality which was shown in 60 VUE cinemas across the UK and broadcast around the world.
In 2013 at Darlington Comedy Festival, Tony performed a show which was potentially a world first... a live comedy show conducted via Skype. Tony Jamesons' Comedy Chat Roulette involved Tony, live on stage in front of a live audience, introducing randomly selected comedy chums to join him via Skype from wherever they might be on a video screen. It was basically a showcase of comedians who weren't actually there. Tony has also been invited to do support slots for comedians such as Stewart Francis, Kevin Bridges, Matt Richardson and WWE Hall of Famer, Mick Foley.

I'm busy working on a new show at the moment, and I'd love it if you would come and see it.
At present I've got a few dates where its gonna be shown, and the ticket links are below, but I'm always looking to add more venues. If you don't see a town close to where you live, give us a shout and we'll see what we can do.
"Whats the show about then Tony?"
Well if I'm honest, its just an hour of stand up. I've enjoyed performing Football Manager Ruined My Life, but now it's time to return to straight up stand up. There's gonna be a mixture of stories about whats been going on in my world over the past year. We'll talk about buying a house. Trying to start a family. Maybe a bit of politics. It'll be fun. If you'd be kind enough to help spread the word, that would really mean a lot to me.

Below is a little preview of the show shot before I grew the beard properly.
Every comedian worth their salt has a podcast these days, and I'm no different. But has every comedian got an award winning podcast? Well, have they? I have. Come and join the Yet Another Comedy Podcast team and make sure you get subscribed via iTunes, Podbean, Stitcher and Acast.
Tony started Yet Another Comedy Podcast as an interview based podcast. That lasted for about a year. He then booked a series of live shows during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which saw Rob Mulholland become a resident guest. From there, Rob became a staple and they managed to convince Danny to join the team too.
Danny doesn't say much, but what he does say, he doesn't care whether you like it or not. Danny is essentially the heel of the podcast. He says what he thinks and we love him for that. Danny joined the podcast after the Edinburgh shows where he put a 50p up his nose. With skills like that, he was obviously going to be needed on our team.
Oh Rob. Some of Robs stories in the podcast would make even the most liberal thinking person wince. His breakup (or breakdown) still remains one of Tony and Dannys highlights. He also gets really angry if you tell him that Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie.
Isn't the internet great? It's the sort of place where anyone can write whatever they want without the fear of anyone actually giving a shit about what you've written? If you're the sort of person who has some time to kill and wants to read the sort of stuff that I've decided to type up on a specific day, then this, right here, is my blog.
